(2nd - 7th February, 2003).

Leading From Above The Line; A Principle Grounded Approach to Personal Development

INTRODUCTION

Strengthening the leadership capacity is, without question, one of the greatest needs of Malawi. It is now widely acknowledged that there is a leadership crisis at all levels in both the public and private sectors.

Leading From Above The Line: A Principle-Grounded Approach to Personal Development has been developed specifically to address the leadership challenges in rapidly transforming economies. Leading From Above The Line is targeted to the holistic development of individuals whether as members of organisations, families or societies.

The programme is aimed at building more responsible behaviour in the private and public lives of participants. The programme is anchored in the belief that all human beings have the potential to achieve accomplishments way beyond their usual day-to-day performance levels. It aims to transform the lives of participants towards the release of their full potential for the good of themselves, their families, their organizations and for humanity in general.

The programme has been tried and tested in Leading From Above The Line Laboratories in Johannesburg and Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and in the Caribbean. The program will be customised to meet specific needs of the Malawian business environment.
